Shipping and Receiving and Material Handling (Posted 8/24/17)

Responsibilities
- Ships outgoing product, and receives incoming materials for company operations
- Coordinates with freight carriers for the timing incoming truck schedules
- Utilizes ERP software to track pending shipment arrivals and receive materials into inventory
- Palletizes, wraps, or otherwise prepares products for shipment in a timely manner
- Coordinates with manufacturing and/or purchasing departments to reconcile any discrepancies
- Maintain current training with transportation regulations for domestic road, ocean (IMDG), and air (IATA) transport of Dangerous Goods.
- Understand Chemical Hazard identification procedures
- Understand the proper use of personal protective equipment
- Prepares samples of company products for shipping to prospective customers, as directed by sales need
- Shows competency in utilizing powered industrial trucks, and shows successful completion of forklift operator training course
- Understand the basics of the company Quality Management System
- Understand the Evacuation and General Emergency Response procedures
Required Education, Experiences, and Core Skills
Position requires high school diploma or equivalent, with experience in warehousing and/or shipping receiving operations. Chemical industry experience preferred. Must have good understanding of MS Office applications, and be able to navigate different software systems.

Responsibilities
- Effectively operates blend equipment, mixing equipment, scales, and associated air control systems
- Develops and maintains expertise in using all equipment associated with blend production operations
- Understands the normal operating characteristics of production equipment, can identify problems or repair issues that arise
- Follow packaging and labelling procedures
- Understand the process for pouring off material, repackaging liquids and powder materials, and the correct closure techniques
- Follow company manufacturing processes, data recording procedures, lot number identification procedures
- Understand batch instructions
- Understand the proper use of personal protective equipment
